CNBC invited Link students to their studio in Englewood, NJ, to create a promotional video to market their education outreach opportunity to other schools. CNBC’s goal for their outreach is to inspire the next generation of newscasters and video journalists. During the visit, the eleven Linkers were exposed to what happens in a studio in front of and behind the camera. They had stage makeup applied, learned how to face the camera and read lines, and assisted in operating the cameras. This immersive experience taught them how broadcasts are done and opened their eyes to potential career paths they may have yet to consider. This visit marked the third time CNBC invited Link scholars to their studio, a relationship initiated by a trustee of Link Education Partners, Mr. Greg Branch.
