… to our presenters, sponsors, donors, guests, and Link scholars who contributed to the great success of the 11th Annual Mind Body Spirit Breakfast!
Yetunde Araromi ’01 inspired us with a powerful reflection on Link’s lasting impact, sharing how the school shaped both her academic success and personal growth. She spoke movingly about the determination and perseverance – the “grit” – she developed at Link, which has helped her in life, especially when she faced a major medical challenge.
We also learned from our guest presenters: Amye Follett and Tracy Semar of Project U.S.E. provided us with tools to build authentic connections; Lovely-Abena Phillips of the Greater Newark Conservancy shared how nutrition supports women’s physical and mental health; and Maria Ferreras of Capital Group offered practical insights on using AI as a positive tool in our lives.
We appreciate our guests interacting with Link’s female scholars during the event. It was wonderful that they had exposure to really great role models and learned how to navigate a social event with adults. They all mentioned what a great time they had!
