Alecia Barnett, a proud Newark, NJ native, gained invaluable skills, core values, and a profound sense of community at Link that would later translate to her success at Science Park High School, Pennsylvania State University, East China Normal University, and beyond. While at Link, Alecia participated in The Island School program in the Bahamas - an experience that ignited her passion for travel, exploring new cultures, and water sports.
As a Human Resources professional, Alecia’s career spans several
industries including, e-commerce, financial services, and social
media. Alecia is also a philanthropist and takes pride in giving back
to her community. In addition to co-founding a nonprofit that serves
underrepresented youth in the Newark area, Alecia is also a newly
appointed member of the Link Community Charter School Board of
Trustees.
