We are pleased to announce that Adriana and Chris Dunn will be honored at this year’s A Taste of Newark on Thursday, November 9th. Adriana and Chris have been strong supporters of Link since they were first introduced by friends Cathy and Dave Ferry. In the years since their initial visit, they have been heavily involved with Link’s fundraising and outreach efforts, taking on leadership roles to further advocate for Link scholars and to help sustain the vital programming that helps shape them for exemplary high schools.
Chris Dunn, a partner in commercial real estate firm Mission Peak Capital, became a member of the Link Education Partners (LEP) Board of Trustees in 2017. A year later, he stepped up to lead all fundraising efforts as Chair of the Development Committee. With 25+ years of experience in commercial real estate, Chris also brings valuable expertise to the LEP Building Committee. Chris helped to guide LEP through its purchase of Peace Park and continues to assist with LEP’s plans for further expansion of the school.
Dr. Adriana Dunn is a licensed psychologist who has practiced in the field of child, adolescent, and family psychology for over 30 years. Adriana has been a core supporter of LEP’s annual Mind Body Spirit women’s event. In 2021, she and her colleague designed and led an inspiring workshop on female empowerment. Adriana has also supported the school’s educational program by participating in “read-to-a-pet visits” to help struggling Link scholars become more confident readers. In the height of the 2020 pandemic, Adriana conducted a book drive that gave Link scholars hundreds of popular titles for their home libraries.
Chris and Adriana have been married for 30 years and have three daughters – Melissa, Catherine, and Julia. They recently moved from Summit to Spring Lake, NJ, and now split their time between New Jersey and Frisco, Colorado. The Dunn’s have been generous in contributing their Colorado residence in auctions in support of Link’s fundraising efforts.
