Link Education Partners strives to close the gap between public funding and what is really needed to provide the outstanding education that students need to succeed and that Link is committed to providing.  In this effort, Link is supported by individuals, foundations, corporations, and civic groups that share our commitment to educating Newark area youth by nourishing mind, body and spirit in a challenging and supportive community founded on Core Values and a deep belief that every child can succeed. Specifically, LEP raises funds for the student electives program, outdoor adventure education, experiential education and partnerships, arts and cultural field trips, extracurricular activities and athletics. In addition to direct student programming,  LEP invest in Link's faculty through teacher development programs, for student success is directly tied to the strength of the faculty. Finally, LEP supports facility maintenance and upkeep that provides a strong physical learning environment. Below are the major ways in which we work to reach our fundraising goal each year:

ANNUAL APPEAL

The Annual Appeal is a multi-platform campaign that runs each school year.  Those who have supported Link for years and those who are new friends are asked to make a gift at this time to support the many ways in which Link develops the whole child and arms its faculty with the skills needed to support student growth.

EVENTS

Link’s Annual Golf Outing

For over 20 years, Link has hosted an annual golf outing in July. This popular outing, recently relocated to the magnificent Plainfield Country Club in Edison, NJ,  gathers friends from all over New Jersey and New York for a wonderful day of golf. A Taste of Newark

This exciting and unique annual celebration of Link’s work in Newark features the finest food in and around Newark at one of the state’s most beautiful cultural sites, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). The event, Link's signature fundraiser,  is held in November each year. Mind Body Spirit Breakfast

Committed to supporting Link's mission of developing the "mind, body, and spirit" of all students, the Link Women's Committee created this unique fundraising event to introduce wellness experiences that educate, celebrate and empower women. SPONSOR A STUDENT

Donors can make a real difference in the life of a young scholar through the Sponsor a Student initiative. By committing to donating $5,000 per year for the four years that a student matriculates at Link.  The funds go for  summer learning, arts education, elective classes, outdoor education, technology, field trips, experiential education, and STEM programming as well as for staff development to strengthen teaching at the school. Interested donors can be paired with a student to follow throughout his or her four years at the school.

SPECIAL INITIATIVES

Every few years, Link identifies special initiatives that need support, usually an outgrowth of strategic planning and self-assessment. Support for these targeted areas is critical to maintaining a level of excellence with respect to the academic programming and character development that Link provides to prepare youngsters from Newark and the surrounding urban area for success at outstanding private and magnet high schools and beyond. Current initiatives being funded include technology, the arts and facilities enhancements.

DONATING GOODS AND SERVICES

From time to time, Link staff or administration identifies resources needed to sustain our program – items or professional services that we cannot afford to purchase outright, but that would contribute to our program. The donation of an in-kind gift is so very much appreciated as it strengthens our operations and programming.
