This year, in light of the impact of the COVID pandemic on the restaurant industry and food insecurity in and around Newark, Link Education Partners has found ways to give back to the restaurants that have supported A Taste of Newark for so many years. Some are preparing food for the St. James Food Pantry, in Newark. One delivery of food has been made to the food pantry and a second is scheduled for right after the holidays, when the pantry needs the food the most. Additionally, the restaurants prepared tastings, that our guests would normally enjoy at A Taste of Newark, for our Link families. Families received the food a few days before this year’s event, which was held virtually. We thank our loyal partners for joining in the effort with their delicious food.
